Lift The Limits.
Free runs one agent and one project. Pro runs as many as you have machines for. One payment, one key, no subscription and no account.
The key is platform-locked and validated on-device. Nothing is checked against a server at launch, so the app works the same on a plane as it does at your desk.
Buying direct is for the United States. Everywhere else, Pro is sold through the App Store and the Microsoft Store — same app, same price, and they handle your local tax and consumer rights instead of us.

Keys are locked to a platform, not to a device — reinstall and move machines as often as you like within that platform. Bought the wrong platform, or it does not work on your setup? Reply to the receipt within 30 days and it is refunded.
Outside the United States: Windows and macOS Pro are sold through the Microsoft Store and the App Store, and iOS and Android will be too. Buying there works the same way, except the store is the seller — so refunds, tax and your local consumer rights go through them. [STORE LINKS ONCE THE LISTINGS ARE LIVE]
Linux is free everywhere, from us directly — request a key.
Pay. Card or wallet through the checkout, hosted by Stripe — your card details never touch us.
Get the key. It arrives as one line, in the form
ARCH1-MAC-…. Keep it somewhere you keep things.Paste it into Settings. The app validates it locally, flips to Pro, and stores it in the device keystore alongside your other secrets.
Push it with your config. When you export agents or projects over SFTP, the key rides along to
~/.thearchitect/licenses.json— so your next device picks it up during the first-run wizard instead of asking you to find the email again.
What we store
Your email address, which platform you bought, and the key itself — plus the payment reference our accounts need. No account, no password, no usage data, nothing tied to a device. The privacy notice lists every field.
If you lose the key
Ask for it again from the address you bought with. There is no account to be locked out of, so there is no recovery flow to fail.
